The SkyRoof program contains several safeguards to ensure that the user is alerted in the event of a

mechanical malfunction in the roof mechanism. One of the safeguards is a 'watchdog' timer that monitors the amount of time

it takes for the roof to open. If, for some reason a malfunction should occur that prevents the roof from fully opening or closing in

the allotted time, a message with an audible alert will be displayed. In addition, an optional SMS text message and/or email will

be sent to the user(s). (See SMS/Email messaging).

The first time that the SkyRoof program runs, the travel time system needs to be calibrated.

Ensure that it is okay to move the roof to the fully open position (i.e. no obstructions, etc.).

Starting with a fully closed roof, click the "Open" button on the SkyRoof Control Panel interface and allow the roof to move to the fully open position.

The calibration is complete.

If needed, the travel time watchdog can be re-calibrated in the future.

To recalibrate the timer, starting with a fully closed roof, open the 'Settings' dialog and click the 'Calibrate' button.

From SkyRoof Control Panel main interface, click the 'Open' button and allow the roof to open fully uninterrupted. Re-calibration is complete.

After the travel time watchdog timer has been calibrated, an optional graphic can be displayed on the main GUI.

The travel time graphic gives the user the approximate position of where the roof is during operation. You can change the

color of the graphic by clicking the 'Color' button and choosing the desired color. Ensure that the 'Show Animation'

check box is ticked in order to display the graphic.
