In order to install and run the SkyRoof Alpaca system, certain other programs and drivers will need to be installed.

 While most of the programs and drivers are included in the installation package, they are listed here for the sake of clarity.


1.) ASCOM platform 6.4 SP1 (or higher) 1

2.) ASCOM Alpaca Remote Client

3.) SkyRoof Control Panel 2

4.) Arduino driver

5.) Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 3



1-The ASCOM platform is not included in the installation package. It is available as a separate download:  http://ascom-standards.org

2- The SkyRoof Control Panel is not absolutely necessary as the system will function with any compatible ASCOM dome software although it is highly recommended

3- Almost all Windows PC's have the .NET framework already installed by default although it may need to be updated. If so, this will be performed automatically during installation
