Although we encourage you to read through this entire document, this section describes the essential steps in order to get your SkyRoof system up and running.

Follow the steps in the 'Initial Settings' section to connect SkyRoof to the SkyRoof control board.

From the SkyRoof  'Settings' menu, click the button adjacent to the 'Read Weather File' check box.

Navigate to the location of the one-line weather file (when using a Boltwood cloud sensor, this file is named "Clarity.txt").

If you are using a SkyAlert system, the file is named "weatherdata.txt."

For other cloud sensors, consult the documentation for the naming conventions of the weather file.

After you have located the file, tick the 'Read Weather File' check box on the SkyRoof settings menu.

Select the desired roof opening and closing criteria in the Actions/Alerts group. (Default values are okay to start with)

Select the 'Park Check Settings'. (Normally this will be 'Use park safety switch')

Click the 'Save/Exit' button.

In a few moments, the weather condition values and icons on the main menu should populate with the received values.

Use the appropriate control buttons (Open, Close and Stop) to manually control the roof as desired.

Note: The 'Stop' button will not only stop the roof during movement, it can also be used to cancel/reset any alert or warning messages.
